Women’s* Department

The Women’s* Department represents all students at the University of Trier who identify as female and non-binary. We stand for absolute gender equality and oppose all forms of sexism as well as homophobia and transphobia.

Our work focuses on gender / women’s politics as well as queer / lesbian issues. We regularly offer lectures, workshops and courses that deal with these topics. Furthermore, the relevant literature is available in our library.

If you are interested in the work of the unit, you are also welcome to come to one of our weekly meetings. (Please read our german page for our meeting dates). You are welcome to contact us via email to take part. It should also be noted that our library and lecture services are of course open to the entire student body.

Invitation to the general assembly of the female and non-binary student body

Dear students,

the autonomous women’s* department cordially invites all students to the general assembly of the female and non-binary student body.
This will take place on 25 June 2024 at 6 pm in our office in the Studihaus. On request, we can enable hybrid participation in the assembly.

What is the General Assembly?
The plenary assembly serves to justify the department to our status group, to elect main and co-advisors, as well as to communicate and contribute ideas for future departmental work.
Our status group consists of all students that identify as female or non-binary. Students who are part of the status group are entitled to vote, all other persons are only entitled to speak.

The provisional agenda:

Best regards,
the team of the autonomous women’s* department
