Women’s* Department

The Women’s* Department represents all students at the University of Trier who identify as female and non-binary. We stand for absolute gender equality and oppose all forms of sexism as well as homophobia and transphobia.

Our work focuses on gender / women’s politics as well as queer / lesbian issues. We regularly offer lectures, workshops and courses that deal with these topics. Furthermore, the relevant literature is available in our library.

If you are interested in the work of the unit, you are also welcome to come to one of our weekly meetings. (Please read our german page for our meeting dates). You are welcome to contact us via email to take part. It should also be noted that our library and lecture services are of course open to the entire student body.

OFFICE HOUR

We offer counselling and support on issues such as sexism, stalking, sexualised violence, gender-based discrimination, etc. and are also happy to refer to further support and counselling options in the Trier area.
